Frequently asked questions

Everything you might want to know about logging your GLP-1 shots with Jabalog: how it works, what it stores, and what it deliberately leaves out.

The basics

What is Jabalog?

Jabalog is a personal journal for your GLP-1 shots, for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch. You log each injection, and optionally side effects and weight, set a reminder on your own schedule, and keep your whole history in one place. It records what you enter, nothing more.

Which medications does Jabalog work with?

Jabalog tracks tirzepatide and semaglutide by active ingredient, and you can also enter a custom dose. Brand names such as Mounjaro, Zepbound, Ozempic and Wegovy appear only so you recognise your medication.

Does Jabalog give advice or tell me when to take my shot?

No. Jabalog is a plain journal. It records the medication, dose, injection site and time you enter and shows your history. It does not interpret your data, suggest doses, or decide your schedule; you set your own reminders for the times you choose.

Does Jabalog use AI?

No. There is no AI, no voice parsing and no predictions. Everything in Jabalog is entered by you, and the app simply keeps it and shows it back to you.

Logging

What can I log in Jabalog?

Each shot records the medication, dose, injection site, and date and time. You can also note side effects from a set list with an optional severity and comment, and log your weight. Everything lands in a single history you can scroll, edit or delete.

Can I enter a custom dose?

Yes. Alongside the standard tirzepatide and semaglutide doses, you can type in a custom dose amount. So if you and your doctor have agreed on a dose that is not one of the presets, you can still log exactly what you took.

Can I keep track of injection sites?

Yes. Jabalog has a set of injection sites and shows which ones you have used and when, so your own rotation is easy to see. It does not pick the next site for you; you always choose.

Can I log side effects?

Yes. You can note symptoms from a set list (such as nausea, fatigue or headache) with an optional severity and a short comment, and they sit in your history alongside your shots.

Can I track my weight?

Yes. You can log your weight in the app, or bring it in from Apple Health, and see it charted with your shots marked along the way. Units follow your locale.

Reminders

Can I set my own reminder schedule?

Yes. You choose a dosing interval in days, and after you log a shot Jabalog schedules one reminder for the time you picked. There is no recurrence, snooze or automatic adjustment, and you can turn reminders off by clearing the interval.

Privacy & your data

Where is my data stored?

On your device by default. There is no Jabalog account and no Jabalog server, and the app contains no analytics or trackers. If you turn on iCloud, your entries sync through your own private iCloud, which we cannot see.

Do I need an account to use Jabalog?

No. There is no sign-up and no login. You can start logging straight away, and your data stays with you.

Does Jabalog sync across my devices?

If you turn on iCloud, your entries sync across your iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch through your own private iCloud. Sync is optional; with it off, everything stays on your device.

Does Jabalog work with Apple Health?

Yes, if you allow it. With your permission, Jabalog can read your weight from Apple Health and save the weights you log back to it, so the same numbers appear in both places. You can change or revoke this in the Health app at any time.

How do I delete my data?

You can edit or delete any entry in the app, and delete the app to remove its on-device data. If you used iCloud, you can remove that from your device’s iCloud settings. Because we hold no copy, there is nothing on our side to delete.

Apple Watch & widgets

Is there an Apple Watch app?

Yes. The Apple Watch app and complications show your next-shot countdown at a glance. It is read-only; you log your shots on iPhone or iPad.

Are there widgets?

Yes. Lock Screen and Home Screen widgets show your next-shot countdown, and the medium size also lists your recent shots.

Pricing & devices

How much does Jabalog cost?

Jabalog is free to try for 15 days. After that, a single one-time purchase ($9.99 in the US) unlocks it for good, with no subscription and nothing to cancel.

Is Jabalog a subscription?

No. Jabalog is a one-time purchase ($9.99 in the US) after the free trial. You pay once and keep the app.

Which devices does Jabalog support?

Jabalog runs on iPhone and iPad, where you do all your logging, with a companion Apple Watch app for your next-shot countdown.

Can I export my history?

Yes. You can pick a date range and which categories to include (shots, side effects, weights), and Jabalog creates a plain PDF with tables and charts to share, for example with your doctor.
